KP Dada said that I will write the dialogue but will not leave Lucknow

  Today we will talk about film dialogues and screen writer, the famous satirist, Padmashree honored KP Saxena, whose writing dialogues made the films a super hit. Kalika Prasad Saxena i.e. his KP grandfather was born on 13 April 1932 in Bareilly. His father was the diwan of Muzaffar Ali's father Raja Syed Sajid Hussain Ali. Once, he died after falling from a horse. He died when KP Dada was just 10 years old. He came to live with his maternal uncle. He did his early education in Bareilly and did high school and intermediate from Gorakhpur. Came to Lucknow for higher education and got an MSc degree in Batni from University.

    For a long time he lived behind the Wazirganj police station. Then Pata came to the drain. He became a professor at the Christian College, teaching for three years. He also wrote 14 text books on Batni. Then he got an assistant station master job in the railway. His first posting was also done in Lucknow city itself. KP Dada was fond of writing since childhood, he started writing in Urdu.

     The famous writer Amrit Lal Nagar ji asked him to write Hindi. Started writing satire for weekly magazines of Hindi newspapers and also for national magazines. Which became the first choice of the people. Later he wrote several plays for Akashvani and Doordarshan and serials and invented a new style of writing and language in which the indigenous words of the local dialect started to enter the hearts of the people. A mixture of Hindi, Awadhi and Urdu languages ​​became his identity.

       In 1981, when she wrote the serial "Bibi Naati Wali" for Lucknow Doordarshan, which was directed by Sushil Kumar Singh, the serial was well received by the audience. Later it was aired on national television, seeing the likes of people, Which gave him a distinct identity. Later it was dubbed and shown in Japan as well.

     Bollywood superstar and producer Aamir Khan was preparing for the film 'Lagaan', directed by Ashutosh Gawariker, on the backdrop of Awadh. After getting acclaimed by KP Dada's serial 'Bibi Naati Wali ", he called up Dada and said that I am Aamir Khan speaking, will you write the dialogue of my film Lagaan? They felt that someone was pranking in the morning. They disconnected the phone. Then I got a call. Then he came to believe that Aamir Khan was really there.

      He did yes, but also put a condition that he would write scripts and dialogues only while staying in Lucknow. The film was a super duper hit. Now Ashutosh Gavarikar's grandfather became the first choice. When Ashutosh asked him to write the dialogue for the film "Jodha Akbar", it was a test of his knowledge of Urdu, Arabic, Persian, Sanskrit and Rajasthani languages. He asked for a month's time. He spent a lot of time in research. Ashutosh got When the dialogues were found, he said that Wonderful. Later on Dada's absence came his message, "KP Sir used to write 12 to 14 hours a day for a month to finish the script." He also remained at the time of shooting so that he could see whether the common man would be able to understand the dialogue. I understand that after 'Mughal-e-Azam "it was a difficult task which nobody but KP Sir could do.

     He not only wrote many plays for radio and television but apart from satire columns, plays, compilation of satirical compositions and writing dialogues in films. He used to write the weekly satire piece in the film magazine Mayapuri but he was not fond of watching movies. This was the vestige of time for him.

      After the war with Pakistan in 1971, he wrote a nukkad drama to collect funds for the country which was directed by Jaydev Sharma Kamal of All India Radio. Not only this, after Sharad Joshi, people started to like his clever satirical works so much that despite being the author of his satire (prose), he started being invited to the Poet Conference. In 1995, he broke away from the stage. They used to say that the roads never end, we should take them as soon as we turn according to our convenience. Maybe that turn goes to your destination. He took voluntary retirement from his job. Despite being a prose writer, poets used to garner more applause on the stage than many capable poets. His satirical presentation style on stage was excellent. He wrote satirical compositions around 1800.

     He used to say that put a wrestler on one pan and put my creations on the other, there is a power which raises the pan even an inch. Honored with Padma Shri by the Government of India in the year 2000 in the field of literature and education.
